I’ve watched the first three episodes of Next Level Chef now, and while the competition itself is pretty good, the production/editing for one particular part needs to be fixed immediately.

After all the dishes have been made, the three mentors withdraw to discuss the best dish, while Gordon talks about how fair they’re being and no-one favors his or her team’s dish. Then they cut to Chef Nyeesha Arrington pointing to one of her team’s dishes as she praises it. This implies that Chef Arrington, who just happens to be a black woman, is practicing favoritism. While I’m not too surprised that this happens on a Fox show, I’m very disappointed in Chef Gordon Ramsey, who is also the head executive producer.

Chef, I expected better of you than to promote misogynistic, racist shots on your latest show. Stop it. Just stop it.
